The Conversations That Moved Us in December 2025
A look back at the {THE AND} conversations that resonated most with our community in December, and what they revealed about connection, love, and being human together.
If you’re a The Skin Deep fan, you know we publish new {THE AND} episodes every week. Some of these conversations travel far beyond us, reaching millions of people across the world. What makes that special isn’t the scale. It’s the people.
When a conversation resonates, it’s because someone sees themselves in it. Our community carries these moments into their own relationships, and that’s where the real impact lives.
This article looks at the conversations our community connected with most. Not through numbers, but through meaning.
{THE AND} What Fame Did To Our Friendship with Alyson Stoner & Annie Gonzalez
Alyson Stoner returned to {THE AND} alongside her childhood friend Annie Gonzalez to play {THE AND} Friends Edition. Having grown up together in Hollywood, they’ve navigated early fame, creativity, and identity side by side.
After more than 20 years of friendship, they spoke openly about how relationships evolve and how love can remain underneath it all.
It reflected the friendships many of us hold close. A reminder of the power of friendship, girlhood, and choosing to keep showing up for one another.

{THE AND} The Truth About a Sisters’ Bond with Lauren & Shan
Shan Boodram, host of Lovers by Shan, sat down with her sister Lauren to play {THE AND} Family Edition in an intimate conversation about one of the hardest periods in their relationship, when work, pregnancy, and emotional pressure all collided.
Instead of moving quickly toward answers, they stayed with the tension, speaking openly about misunderstanding, emotional distance, and what it can look like to find your way back to each other when communication feels hard. At one emotional moment, Shan gently tells Lauren a line that stayed with us:
You can lean into the mist. You can lean into it.
It captured the permission to stay present when things feel unclear, to soften instead of rush, and to trust that connection doesn’t always need certainty.
{THE AND} Marriage doesn’t mean you stop choosing with Sidra & Ben #TBT
After publishing {THE AND} conversations for over a decade, some pairs have stayed with our community in a lasting way. As part of this throwback series, we’ve been revisiting a few of those episodes as clips, giving them space to be seen again.
Sidra and Ben have been on {THE AND} seven times over the years, returning through different chapters of their lives, from becoming parents to growing apart and finding their way back, with each conversation reflecting the ongoing choice to keep showing up for one another.
Bringing these moments back helped us reconnect with people in our community who’ve been here with us for years, and we’re grateful to still be sharing this with them.
Watch {THE AND}
We’ve been creating {THE AND} since 2014, sharing conversations that explore real relationships and the space between people. Each episode offers an intimate look at how we connect, communicate, and show up for one another.
New episodes premiere every week on YouTube, with conversation clips shared daily on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Whether you’re discovering {THE AND} for the first time or have been watching for years, there’s always a conversation that might shift how you see your own relationships.
Play {THE AND} card game
Watching these conversations often makes you want to keep talking. To ask better questions, listen a little longer, or create space for deeper moments in your own relationships. That’s why we created the {THE AND} card games, using the same questions you see in our episodes.

{THE AND} Friends Edition - The same edition played by Alyson & Annie in their conversation. This deck is made for friendships you want to go deeper with, helping move past small talk during game nights, road trips, or quiet catch-ups.
{THE AND} Family Edition - The edition played by Shan & Lauren. Designed to bring families together across generations, it creates space for stories, reflection, and conversations that help everyone feel seen and heard.
{THE AND} Couples Edition - The edition played by Sidra & Ben. Created for couples who want to connect more intentionally, these questions turn everyday time together into moments of closeness and understanding.
And that’s a wrap on our December roundup. Whether you’re watching an episode, revisiting a moment that stayed with you, or bringing these questions into your own relationships, we’re grateful to be sharing them with you.
