Spring Break for Adults: How to Unleash Your Inner Kid (and Why It’s the Best Thing Ever!)
We’ve made it a mission to keep things fun. I’ve never laughed as hard or as often as I do with Ian. A big part of our routine? Games—video games, board games, and our new favorite, Kidulting.

Sometimes, we just need to let our inner kid run wild—and what better time than Spring Break? Adulting gets waaay too serious sometimes, and it’s easy to get lost in the stress, fear, and worries of everyday life.
Personally, being silly comes naturally to me. I was lucky enough to marry someone just as goofy as I am, which means I can fully be myself, no second-guessing. Surrounding yourself with people who make you feel safe enough to be unapologetically you makes all the difference. It makes it easier to let loose, have fun, and not care what anyone else thinks.
When I turned 15, my dad wrote me a letter I’ll never forget, especially his closing words: “Always dance like nobody’s watching.” Cliché? Maybe. But now, as an adult, I totally get it. My dad, my sister, and I have always been complete goofs together, and that kind of silliness? It makes life so much lighter, more fun, and way more entertaining. Now, living on my own, I try to keep that energy alive—I’m my own best friend when I’m solo, and when I’m with my husband, we’re each other’s built-in playmates.
Lately, we’ve made it a mission to keep things fun. I’ve never laughed as hard or as often as I do with Ian. A big part of our routine? Games—video games, board games, and our new favorite, Kidulting. I’ve never seen anything like it, and it’s completely changed the way we have fun together, whether we’re at home or out and about.

I even keep the cards in my purse (they’re super light and easy to carry), and we surprise each other every time we play. The result? Priceless memories and endless laughter. I truly believe silliness is the secret ingredient to keeping any relationship strong, fun, and full of joy.
Now that the New Year rush has settled and we’re back in our routines, it’s the perfect time to shake off the seriousness of adulthood and just play. So grab your set of Kidulting and rediscover what it’s like to be a kid again—together!
